Mine? Itβs been the absolute BEST.

Now you might be wondering why?
Have I had a wonderful surprise? Won some money? Been off on holiday
Nope.
It was the best
week because I had TIME. β°
& I had time for me.
If you remember a couple of newsletters back, I spoke about how I had overscheduled July and I was really overwhelmed. 😫
Since then, I have been much more intentional about my calendar.
& then something happened...
One of my weekly clients ran out of funding. This meant my 9-11am spot on Thursday just opened up. 📆
& I was so tempted to take on a new client, offer extra therapy spots to existing clients or take on more paid work - whatever that looked like.
But instead, I stopped. I was intentional. I thought - how could I change my week to make life easier, happier or smoother?
& then I booked myself into a 9am Pilates class. 🤸ββοΈ
This meant no more rushing on Thursday afternoons, racing in late to my 5.30pm class. It meant a slow morning. It meant starting my
day with calm and ending my day with calm. βοΈ 🧘🏼ββοΈ 🤩

Following this 1 decision, I made a few more like it. Instead of filling cancellations with admin tasks, booking in more clients, and committing to more work (which is about everyone else), I focused on ME. 💖
This looked like
β¨ reading a book β¨ giving myself longer to complete
a task β¨ watching a PD that upskilled my knowledge β¨ exercising β¨ having a longer lunch break β¨ giving myself time to ponder, reflect and just be
So next time a gap opens up in your calendar - STOP and THINK - how can I use this time for ME?
As women, as therapists, as daughters, sisters, mothers, we give so much of ourselves to others. We are praised and rewarded for this. But this leaves us depleted and leads to burnout. 😵β💫
So make the small change - take the time for yourself. Do the thing that lights you up. & if you like how you feel afterwards, do it again when the next opportunity comes up.
Within a week, a month, a year - life will look so much more balanced, calmer and happier. 🥰
