Hi ,

Thanks so much for clicking on this email.

Are you feeling the pressure? 😩

👉 To know it all?

👉 To know all the latest information?
👉 To have the best resources, and the most amazing games and activities?
👉 To have ready-to-go information handouts and all the things?

You’re not alone. 💖

We want to desperately do our best and often we put so much pressure on ourselves to have all the answers, resources, handouts and information.

& we just can’t.

It’s important to remember that clients come to see us. Because they believe that we care and we can help them. 🤩

When we can be open that we don’t know (but can find out), it not only empowers you but also the family you are working with. If you don’t have all the answers, maybe it’s ok that they don’t either.

When I mentor Speechies, if I don’t have the answer, it helps them realise that even with 23 years of experience, you might still not know and that’s ok!

In fact, it allows for honesty, transparency and creates a space for collaboration and team work. We can all work together to create the best outcomes that is truly tailored to what that person needs.

It’s so empowering, freeing and it also gives you space to learn, to evolve, to adapt and try new things without the fear of getting it wrong.Β  😍

It makes you human, vulnerable and so much easier to connect with.

So the next time you have that sinking feeling in your gut that you don’t know, lean into it.

It’s ok to not know. & it’s an opportunity to not just learn but to also connect.
