We know that we will take as long as we are given to complete a task.
So by using a timer, we can work in short sharp bursts to get tasks done.
It helps us to stay focused and concentrate on what we need to get done because we know the timer is going to ring.
How do you choose the right timer?
Find one that doesnβt distract you. So you might want to use an external timer/device rather than the timer on your phone.
I donβt know about you, but soon as I pick up my
phone I am distracted so using a timer such as a cubed timer works so much better for me.
Want to get even more done in less time?
If you have a longer period of time - say 1 hour, set your timer for 15 min bursts. This way you can concentrate for short sharp bursts.🎯
This means you donβt lose focus or get distracted like you would if you had a whole 60 mins before the timer rings.
It also means you can stop, stretch and reset for the next burst of work. 🎉
