BUT what isnβt being talked about is the cost of cutting that expense.
Recently I looked at the software that I use to help me run The Speechie Life.
I currently use 3 platforms & I was told about a new software that was able to roll everything into 1 & save me over $1000 per year. Game-changer! 🤩
I was so excited - that is a HUGE saving. I spent;
👉 time
reading reviews and exploring the platform 👉time on Facebook groups working out if it was the right platform for us 👉 time watching Youtube videos to learn how to
migrate everything over 👉 a whole Saturday learning how it works 👉 time liaising and collaborating with my VA
& then realised that I had to spend MORE time to migrate, test and make sure it ALL worked seamlessly before I could cancel my other subscriptions. β° 🫠
Thatβs a lot of time, effort, energy and learning so I had to ask myself - was I really saving money or creating more problems? How long would I have to stay on that platform to recoup my time, effort and savings?
& is it smart to have everything in the one place because if the platform has issues, it effects everything rather than just one part.
I think this is a trap we can all fall intoβ¦ looking at the savings rather than the cost of the savings. 📊
Some things are definitely worth cutting from your budget. For us, this is only having 3 streaming platforms on the go rather than 5 or 6.
But other things are not worth cutting out of our budget. For me, itβs my takeaway coffee because it gives me joy, makes starting my day brighter and makes me feel abundant. βοΈ 🥰
So, like everything, put the idea of βcutting expensesβ through your unique filter.
